HealthPartners Advanced Practice Clinician Fellow in Urgent Care in St. Paul, Minnesota

We are offering a 12-month post-graduate program for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners interested in advanced training in Urgent Care with a start date of Summer/Fall 2024. The HealthPartners Urgent Care Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Fellowship engages APC learners in extensive training within Urgent Care, as well as required rotations in specialty areas deemed essential for proficiency. Responsibilities include performing histories and physicals, formulating an assessment and plan, and providing necessary treatments and procedures. All work is supervised by an attending physician or APC. Through lectures, skills training, and simulation, didactic sessions compliment the diverse rotations and hands on experiences, offering APC Fellows the opportunity to develop clinical competence, critical thinking skills, and interprofessional collaboration. This allows APCs to successfully integrate into the specialty of Urgent Care at an accelerated rate compared with on-the-job training. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, occasional evenings, occasional weekends Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program (Applicants may be in final year of completing this requirement with hiring dependent upon successful completion) PA or NP students completing training are encouraged to pursue at least one rotation in Urgent Care Required Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota with certification by the NCCPA OR Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner by the state of Minnesota & certified by AANP or ANCC Application Requirements: Resume/CV Personal statement 3 professional letters of recommendation Transcript (unofficial or official) Please attached personal statement, 3 professional letters of recommendations, and transcript with your cover letter.
