*Securian Financial Groups internal position title is Financial Planning & Analysis Consultant. This position is eligible to be filled at the Consultant or Senior Analyst levels depending on qualifications and skillsets. Position Summary: As a Financial Planning & Analysis Consultant, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, expertly navigating the preparation, consolidation, and presentation of crucial data. Your analytical skills will guide our business strategies to align with financial objectives, ensuring we're on track to meet our goals. In this dynamic role, you'll transform complex data into strategic insights, driving our organization's financial health and business strategy forward in a single, cohesive narrative. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Forecasting and Financial Analysis: Collaborate with FP&A and Actuarial associates to understand and explain the driver of profit shares, financial results, and projections to management. Prepare or review the journal entries to record premium, claims, and commission expense for Affinity Solutions TPA/TPM partners. Preparing and posting monthly journal entries and account reconciliations and roll-forwards within the SAP subledger/ledger. Financial Reporting: Support Affinity Solutions Account Executive, Product Managers and Sales teams with valuable insights by providing business information. Perform monthly and quarterly financial analysis and management reporting. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process efficiencies. Implements enhancements and automation to Affinity Solutions earnings and forecasting process and internal management reporting. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, complemented by solid accounting acumen and a proven track record of financial data analysis, including account reconciliations. Exhibit exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively interpret financial data and contribute to expense management. Demonstrate superior communication skills, capable of crafting and delivering impactful presentations to management and various audiences. Can maintain high performance and discretion under pressure, with the capacity to work independently and safeguard confidential information. Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with various ERP/Mgmt. Information tools, enabling efficient data management and reporting. Preferred Qualifications: CPA certification. Previousexperience in the Insurance industry. Previous experience in Accounting and/or Finance within a large corporate environment. Previous experience with SAP and/or other major ERP. #LI-hybrid This position will be in a hybrid working arrangement. Physical job requirements: Ability to utilize the keyboard, computer and/or mouse for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
