We are on the lookout for a dedicated Sr. Accountant located in Stafford, Texas to join our team in the biotech industry. This role primarily involves managing all aspects of accounts payable processing, cash and payment posting, account reconciliation, and ensuring that invoices are recorded in accordance with GAAP. Additionally, the role includes a crucial part in the preparation of financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the matching of invoices on a daily basis and facilitate their approvals.

• Evaluate and reconcile all vendor statements and address all inquiries.

• Ensure all expense reports are in compliance with company policies.

• Handle vendor calls and address all issues, including escalating issues when necessary.

• Evaluate vendor balances and address all unpaid invoices issues.

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure appropriate coding to all invoices.

• Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing.

• Perform the company's internal controls to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

• Conduct necessary clerical work for accurate accounting practices.

• Export and review financial transactions for accounting department.

This role requires skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and MS Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Demonstrated experience in managing general ledger and preparing journal entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics CRM

• Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desirable

• Must possess the skills and knowledge to carry out month-end close procedures

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• CPA certification is a plus

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Must have legal right to work in the country of employment without sponsorship

• Must not have a criminal record.
