Synchrony Bank Assistant Vice President, Data Analytics and Governance in Stamford, Connecticut

[Assistant Vice President, Data Analytics and Governance, Synchrony Bank, **[Stamford[, CT. [Develop and manage a business plan from roadmap through execution of Data Quality Analysis, Strategy, and Implementation. Consolidate, analyze, and validate both structured and unstructured diverse big data sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for model development and various strategic initiatives. Identify needs and issues for data analysis and experiments around the validation of existing and new data attributes and prioritize efforts to improve and maintain data quality. Develop and code algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Responsible for data quality, storage, data issues, resolutions, and data and systems enhancements. Coordinate solutions and fix data attributes. Produce and distribute automated periodic status reports and scorecards. Review and address data quality issues. Maintain, enhance, and update data dictionaries for all credit loss forecasting and reserve models. Create new data dictionary for new models. Onboarding new data sources into Risk Aggregation Data Platform (RDG), analyze differences in data, suggest logic and mapping changes to standardize and cleanse onboarding data sources, and design and execute user acceptance tests for new data.

[40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

**[MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS[:

[Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering (any), Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and two (2) years of related work experience.

  • Understanding of financial markets, data management/governance, and quality assurance practices;
  • Analyzing data or new requirements for modeling or data migration and efforts to consolidate data from centralized warehouses;
  • Data Governance technologies, process risk management, or building process control solutions;
  • At least one of the following coding languages Python, PySpark, SAS, and/or SQL; and
  • Creating visualizations of data and/or quantitative information for management decisioning using Tableau or equivalent tool.
