Deloitte Associate Analyst, Independence Compliance in Stamford, Connecticut

Are you someone who is detail oriented, a critical thinker, and has strong interpersonal skills? Do you enjoy working with professionals to answer their questions? We are seeking an Associate Compliance Analyst who will be responsible for maintaining the entity data in our internal personal independence compliance system and assisting professionals with adding new entities to the system. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, have knowledge of various financial instruments/markets, have a background or interest in compliance and will strive to provide exceptional quality and superior customer service.

Work You'll Do

  • Gain a robust knowledge of Deloitte Policies to provide guidance to professionals resolve customer inquiries, evaluate risk, and determine permissibility of financial relationships

  • Assist with the resolution of issues that arise with the processes, system, or internal customers

  • Search websites for information about corporate entities and types of products they offer

  • Research new financial products and clearly articulate to management to determine how to monitor these products in the system

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of internal processes and procedures for the department

Independence & Conflicts Network

The Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) team performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance and risk management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing service to attest/audit clients. Independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, externals rules and regulations, so maintaining both the independence of the Deloitte US Firms and personal independence is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte. This position offers a dynamic work environment which is driven by the changing financial instruments and the need for responsiveness to regulatory change. The Associate Analyst will be expected to gain a solid understanding of financial relationships and corporate entities. They will work with other departments within the Independence, Ethics, & Compliance organization, end users (Deloitte professionals with independence requirements) and other Deloitte network organization firms.

Qualifications Required:

  • BA/BS degree

  • 0-2 Years of experience of relevant work experience in a large corporate or professional services firm

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Basic understanding of securities and various financial relationships (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, etc.)

  • Willing to work in person in our Stamford, CT office as required (presently two days each week but may be subject to change)

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $40,600-$83,500.
