The Assistant Coach, Women’s Lacrosse will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Coach in planning and organizing team training and practice sessions.

  • Assist the Director of Operations with video replay, logistics during team travel, equipment and apparel distribution, and other duties assigned.

  • Assist in recruiting student-athletes to compete at Stanford. Follow NCAA guidelines and University standards and policies in coordinating recruiting efforts. o This includes daily recruiting database management, regular phone calls with club and high school coaches, recruiting campus tours and visit logistics, traveling for recruiting events during the months of November, June, & July, and working camps that will aid in our recruiting efforts.

  • Analyze practice footage daily and create video clips to facilitate player development and teaching. Collaborate with the Head Coach and team on post-game film analysis.

  • Work with individual and/or small groups of players, at any position, throughout the year, to aid in their skill development.

  • Scout opponents during the season and provide detailed video breakdowns. Prepare scouting reports for the Head Coach and team

  • Assist in the planning and execution of Stanford lacrosse camps.

  • Understand and apply NCAA regulations to all aspects of program.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or their designee.

  • Opportunity to grow into a coordinator role for the program’s offense or defense.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant coaching experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with student-athletes, peers, and the general public.

  • Computer literacy with common office applications such as Word, Excel, G-Suite applications.

  • Ability to understand and comply with all rules and regulations of the Stanford University, Pac 12 Conference, and NCAA.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of staff and personnel in the Department of Athletics, the University and the community.

This position, along with all DAPER coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of Stanford’s intercollegiate athletics program, recreation and wellness department, and for the reputation of Stanford University. This position is responsible for ensuring that your involvement with DAPER activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA, and conference rules and regulations.

The expected pay range for this position is $66,700 to $82,500 per annum.
