An aerospace heavy-hitter is looking for a motivated and self-driven CNC machine operator to join their team! Are you a team player looking for a big opportunity? salary: $20 - $25 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 6 AM - 4:30 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe in the machining of components.

• Boring, drilling, reaming, threading and tapping operations.

• Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.

• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces.

• Detecting malfunctions, replacing worn tools, cleaning debris from machine.

• Report any faulty operation of equipment or defective materials to the area supervisor.

• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices

• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

• Able to start up equipment from the beginning (using MSDS tape and dry-run equipment) to identify equipment malfunctioning or out-of-tolerance machining. Based upon the resulting data, must be able to adjust machine controls or control media as required.

• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.

The essential functions of this role include:
