JOB SPECIFICS
The Access, Aging, and Disability (AA&D) Division of Community Services has two open Case Aide positions. These roles will involve supporting and assisting the AA&D Division with various tasks and responsibilities. One position will provide case management support to both contracted and internal case managers. The other will provide support to MnChoices assessment teams. Responsibilities will include electronic filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks as assigned. There will be data entry into the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), a mainframe system used to manage and administer HCBS waivers, of service arrangements and screening documents. Duties may vary depending on assigned program area. The ideal candidates should possess strong organizational skills to manage day-to-day tasks, as well as excellent communication abilities.

SELECTION TECHNIQUE: Your training and experience will be rated based on the required application material submitted and the top scoring candidates will be forwarded to the hiring department for further consideration.
HOURS / DAYS: (40 hours/ between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Mon-Fri. Work schedules (hours and days) and location are subject to change based on department needs. This position is located at the Stillwater Government Center with telework opportunities.
ANTICIPATED HIRING RATE: $23.82 - $32.45 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY
The Case Aide-Community Services helps clients to obtain and maintain eligibility for social services and assists other professional staff in maintaining compliance with program requirements, and process financial transactions. Duties may vary depending on assigned program area.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide case support:
• Open and maintain client eligibility records;
• Review case records for completion; and
• Interview clients to obtain and verify information.
Maintain compliance with state, federal and county regulations and requirements:
• Perform statistical computations;
• Participate in the development of procedures for service operations;
• Identify procedural changes and communicate to affected staff;
• Develop and create spreadsheets and reports; and
• Provide administrative support for advisory or community committees.
Process financial transactions:
• Authorize, verify and process service payment of services;
• Code and reconcile payments;
• Coordinate billing for social services expenses;
• Establish records to ensure reimbursement of eligible funding;
• Work directly with healthcare companies, Medical Assistance program, and providers for payment of eligible expenses; and
• Assist with budget process as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is sedentary in nature performed within the Government Center, satellite offices or on occasion client homes. Lifting requirement of 15 - 20 pounds on an occasional basis. Wrist and finger manipulation due to filing, compiling, calculating, or computer work. Equipment used may include, but is not limited to, computer, typewriter, calculator, telephone, copy and fax machine, scanner and dictaphone. Additional physical/mental requirements that occur may not be listed above, but are inherent in performing the position's essential functions.
