As a Strategy & Planning Director – Technology Transformation Management Office (TMO) within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The position is primarily based in a PNC location.
Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion. Other locations may be considered such as Cleveland/Strongsville, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
The Strategy & Planning Director will provide execution leadership for transformation initiatives focusing on strategic alignment, cross-functional coordination and dependency management, benefits realization and organizational readiness (OCM).
This leadership role will oversee:
• Project and Program Execution
• Compliance with the Change Methodology Framework Policy
• Program governance and health reporting
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
• Strategic Planning and Transformation for future state needs
• Critical thinking
• Leading layers of managers across locations
• High degree of stakeholder management
• Banking, or financial industry experience on a global basis is preferred; however, we may consider large fortune 250 companies in other highly regulated industries
• Work with competing demands that have multiple deadlines for large scale/ high impact initiatives
• Strong technical acumen
• Demonstrated success influencing and communicating
Job Description
Leads strategic planning group to execute initiatives, including analysis, oversight and support for solution development. Works closely with senior leadership to formulate and execute business strategic plans.
Sets vision to identify strategic plan and/or specific initiatives to achieve business goals.
Defines, monitors and uses metrics to assess performance and continuously improve the line of business. Monitors progress towards goals and recommends modifications to the plan as needed to achieve business objectives. Addresses and resolves breakdowns as necessary to ensure support of strategic initiatives.
Drives critical business discussions to identify strengths and opportunities and ensures strategic issues are addressed. Provides insight and thought leadership. Leverages strong partnerships with key decision makers to ensure cross-business and cross-functional alignment and synergy.
Builds winning teams by providing effective leadership, management and development of employees.

Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree and higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications. Industry -relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
