We're seeking a Production Supervisor to join our client's esteemed manufacturing team, committed to delivering top-tier components to their valued clients. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the production floor. You will be responsible for meeting daily production and quality requirements, develop the staff through training initiatives that will provide flexibility through cross training as well as supervising the hourly staff by managing work assignments and reporting on safety, quality and production results. The ideal candidate has at least 2-3 years as a Production Supervisor for a Manufacturing facility with IATF 16949 experience, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement responsibilities. Responsibilities
Maintain standards of health & safety, environmental and quality
Ensure all safety policies are implemented and enforced on the production floor
Oversee the manufacturing/shipping/receiving processes and procedures
Lead daily meetings with teams
Evaluate each operation to maintain optimum efficiency
Lead the implementation and maintenance of Lean initiatives and 5S standards
Produce regular reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Support efforts within plant using problem solving tools, process management, measurement techniques and statistical analysis
Create and oversee employee training to enhance safety, increase production, improve quality and ensure profitability
Validate and assist in the development of verification and error proofing practices
Assist with implementation of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001
Experience leading teams in a fast paced automotive or manufacturing environment - High School Degree Required, Technical Degree or Certification a plus
Knowledge of Industrial Automation equipment
Prefer experience with Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
Other duties as required
