Google Group Product Manager, Generative AI, Google Cloud in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

  • Experience with the domain area of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLM), or Machine Learning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • Experience in product managing internal ML infrastructure, advocating for its use cases, and growing its adoption.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of new workflows to help automate the user journey taken by generative AI developers. You will be responsible for keeping a pulse on industry developments, while embedding alongside partners to help launch generative AI into products and build workflows that solve their pain points. You will be responsible for understanding the user journey across our internal and external customers, mapping pain points, and distilling user requirements and product feedback into long term strategic roadmaps, identifying product features that add value and build trust with our customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Understand novel workflows for both creators and consumers of large models, identifying opportunities to create tooling that empower an explosion of generative-AI powered products across Google.

  • Work cross-functionally and select critical problems to be solved with our ML infrastructure, build multi-year roadmaps that intersect our existing products, customer needs, and long-term trends in ML.

  • Lead collaboration with engineering, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting-edge technologies.

  • Grow a technical understanding ML infrastructure within Core ML and across Google's product areas, and work closely with all Google product areas to prioritize feature requests and build unified roadmap for the machine learning infrastructure for Google.

  • Conduct market assessments of new innovations in generative AI and learn from best practices in the industry.
