JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20937 POSITION: #24-94: International Services Representative - EDI POSITION: International Services Representative, AE006, 100%, Academic Staff, Ongoing/Renewable, 12-month, one vacancy POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing visa and immigration services to ensure University compliance with federal regulations. Interprets federal immigration regulations, leads student visa workshops, and advises international students to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Supports students\' cultural adjustment and promotes intercultural learning. Provide comprehensive services for specific populations, including individualized retention and advising, specialized workshops, and orientation programs. All services and initiatives will aid in student success and retention efforts at UW-Superior. The Office of Intercultural Student Success (ISS) is housed under the Department of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and will also include departmental work aimed toward the education of the campus surrounding and addressing the needs of other minoritized students outside of racial/ethnic populations. Some weekend work is required. UW-STANDARD JOB DESCRIPTION DUTIES: - Advises on student visa issues through individual consultations and workshops across various mediums. - Interprets and communicates student rights, responsibilities, and options related to specific requests and situations. - Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for international students promoting their contributions to diverse communities. - Prepares and delivers workshops for international students on topics related to visas, immigration updates, and employment authorization rules and regulations. - Prepares, submits, and processes complex immigration documentation for incoming, current, and former students. - Monitors regulations and activities to ensure institutional compliance with governmental agencies and institutional policies. Click on the Apply for Job button. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: - Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited institution - One-year combined work experience with international students in higher education, international education, working abroad, and/or working with minoritized populations, or other related experience - Per Federal Regulations for Designated School Officials, applicants from all nationalities are welcome to apply however, candidates must possess citizenship or Legal Permanent Residency - Must possess a valid driver\'s license This position is currently ineligible for H1-B sponsorship.
