COUNTY OF DOUGLAS Jailer in SUPERIOR, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: A Jailer has the responsibility of maintaining the security of the institution as well as the custody and correctional treatment of inmates. A Jailer\'s primary focus is the maintenance of the institution\'s security, contribution to the health and welfare of the inmates, and the promotion of good public relations. Additional collateral assignments may include program facilitation and activities coordination. The wage scale for 2024 is \$23.74 - \$28.28 per hour; this reflects the entire wage scale including longevity. Training provided by the Douglas County Jail within the first year of employment 45-minute commute distance from the Douglas County Jail which is located in Superior, WI required within 18 months.
