At Diageo, you will be a chosen custodian of our brand portfolio, entrusted with building brands for consumers to celebrate with in the moments that matter. Alongside you will be a group of ambitious, passionate and innovative people, who will help you to achieve extraordinary heights. Together, you will help us create a future worth celebrating.

What about the role?

As the Customer Business Manager, partnering with the Head of Coles, you will forge and cultivate the partnership with our key customer partners across the RTD (Ready to Drink) category to deliver mutual growth for both businesses, with opportunity to uncover and embed strong commercial strategies focused on building a highly capable and engaged team around you including indirectly leading leading a National Promotions Manager and a National Account Executive.

  • Proactively uncovering joint value growth opportunities, and building the pricing and promotional programme alongside the promo managers for the RTD portfolio;

  • Champion the Coles Liquor customer group cross and intra functionally to share insights and findings across the business and work closely with internal teams to ensure our goals and objectives are met within the customer;

  • Ensure close partnership with Coles Liquor to understand, plan and implement relevant agreed account strategies outlined in the business plan that generate category value for both parties; and

  • Lead conversations across internal and external supply chain partners to ensure ongoing supply metrics are high.

What will you bring to the table?

  • A well established, successful career in an FMCG environment with prior commercial account management and ideally with some experience in broader commercial functions, including category or marketing;

  • Proven experience in achieving results from insight to action and strong exposure to customer groups and collaborating in conjunction with key partners;

  • Experience of leading the promotional cycle and external Customer P&L to deliver profit targets/growth;

  • Comfort when working with ambiguity and complexity, bringing clarity to others while building trust as the SME for your portfolio; and

  • Highly developed communication, influence and engagement skills with both internal and external partners.

What are the benefits?

We are an organisation that creates products that are part of celebrations, and our culture reflects this. At Diageo, you will have the ability to work flexibly to ensure you can unlock your own potential through creating bold plans and driving your vision.

You will also be rewarded through competitive salary and monetary benefits including bonus, flexible leave entitlements and product allowance as well as being supported via non-monetary benefits including an industry leading parental leave policy, volunteering days and workplace giving, and subscriptions to mental health and fitness platforms.
