The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated person to join Aon’s First Assist team which plays a pivotal role in supporting the National Claims Team. First Assist triage to the complex National Claims Team certain risk classes for end to end claims management, while attending to the balance of notifications for management between the Insured and the Insurer.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Assist triage to the insurer certain risk classes for management between the Insured and the Insurer

  • First Assist triage to the National claims team all other risk classes for end to end claims management

  • Timely lodgement of claims

  • Developing strong client relationships to help facilitate successful outcomes for clients.

  • Collaborating with colleagues and management to ensure open communication

  • Maintaining and building relationships with insurers and the global Aon network

  • Providing some advice to clients with respect to claim mitigation and claim management

  • Developing strong internal and external stakeholders’ relationships including service providers, brokers, and underwriters

  • Accurate claims reporting and analysis

About you:

  • A strong customer service focus

  • Strong time management skills. Ensuring adherence to KPI / SLA timeframes

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholders

  • Outcome focussed – able to overcome obstacles and deliver designated outcomes

  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes in volume of work (e.g. during a catastrophe)

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Data entry skills

  • Ability to work and positively contribute as a member of the team

  • Effective relationship management

  • Working with segments and partners to deliver Aon United

  • Basic understanding of various policy wordings.
