Crouse Hospital DRG Denial Specialist in Syracuse, New York
The DRG Denial Specialist works under the Inpatient Coding Manager and oversees compliance with coding standards and regulations. Advises and assists in improvement plans for coding and DRG assignment issues. Validates assignment of codes and provides trending and analysis of coding and DRG issues. Works using the mission, vision, and values of the hospital.
Requirements
Education: Associates Degree in Health Information Technology or related field is required.
Experience: Approximately 1 year IP coding and or DRG validation experience in an acute care setting required. 1- 2 years of IP Clinical Documentation Integrity role in an acute care setting preferred.
Salary Range
$74,110.40 - $96,179.20/annually
