SUNY Upstate Medical University Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), SG006 in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary: Duties include but are not limited to: Creates and/or maintains master copies of internal forms used to manage department operations (par lists, specialty cart log book sheets, specialty cart and kit checklists, etc); Records minutes at weekly staff meetings and enters into department communications manual; Monitors office supplies and orders as needed; Provides phone support for the department.; Data entry functions to include, but not limited to (these functions are the individual's responsibilities as well as assisting other department staff in performing): Patient charge entry into EPIC, Item Issue entry into Lawson and supply request in to Service Log; Monitors all office equipment and ensures adequate stock of paper and that all are in proper working order daily.

Minimum Qualifications:

New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer.

A provisional appointee will be required to take and pass the next NYS Department of Civil Service exam for Office Assistant 1 (insert title series) and score high enough on the next NYS Department of Civil Service Eligible List to be reachable for permanent appointment as one of the top three ranking acceptors.

There are no educational or experience requirements to qualify for a provisional appointment.

Work Days:

Scheduled based on a 37.5 hour work week. Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM.
