Robert Half Senior Quality Manager in Syracuse, New York

Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a manufacturing client of his in Syracuse that has a newly created strategic position. This unique Senior Quality Manager role will be the right had person to the Director of Quality and have a lot of growth to it. This role is with a low turnover organization that has great benefits, strong bonus and 401k match.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Quality Management AND in Program Management, with proven experience overseeing complex projects and ensuring quality standards are met. As a Senior Quality Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing quality assurance strategies, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. The important part of the role is you're working closely with multiple leadership teams and using them as resources requiring this individual’s overall coordination and management of workloads.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure product and service quality meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Program Oversight: Leverage previous Program Management experience to oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams in quality-related projects, ensuring that all quality milestones are achieved on time and within scope.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance quality performance, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and stay updated on changes to maintain certification and accreditation.

  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks related to quality, develop contingency plans, and manage non-conformance issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, including key metrics and KPIs. Use data analysis to drive decision-making and strategy development.

    Requirements

• Must have a strong background in Quality Management AND Program Management

• Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive quality improvements

• Proven leadership skills

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Solid understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements

• Manufacturing industry experience is a must have
