We are seeking a Field Excellence Leader to spearhead seed production leadership and training initiatives. This role will focus on developing seed production best practices through collaborative research and innovation. The successful candidate will drive standardization and enhance overall effectiveness both regionally and with the Global Field Excellence Team.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Agronomy Team: Oversee a small team of experts to enhance seed production practices in Brazil, aiming for better yield, quality, and reliability of Corteva seed products.

  • Provide Expertise: Act as the agronomy seed production expert, offering guidance, leadership, and training to resolve issues and improve seed production results in Brazil.

  • Project Leadership: Identify, develop, and lead projects to boost yield and reliability of Corteva seed production in Brazil.

  • Field Visits: Visit production locations in Brazil to identify improvement areas and coach field teams.

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with Digital Agronomy, Production Research, Seed Productivity, Operations and Field Excellence Leads to implement best practices and maximize seed yield and quality.

  • Develop Educational Programs: Create programs and tools to enhance field selection and grower productivity, focusing on yield, quality, and reliability.

  • Maintain Leadership Connections: Stay connected with Brazil and Latin America leadership and Global Field Excellence Leadership to align project priorities.

  • Lead Change Management: Foster an innovative culture and act as a change agent in Brazil.

  • Standardize Processes: Harmonize, support, control, and coach Brazil's production processes based on key activities.

  • Organize Conferences: Design and facilitate the Brazil Agronomy Conference and other meetings.

  • Improve Data Quality: Lead efforts to enhance field data quality, organize and analyze data for data-driven decision-making.

  • Support Hiring: Contribute to the hiring and onboarding process for agronomists.

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

  • BS or MS in agribusiness, agronomy, or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in field production

  • Corn seed production experience is preferred

  • Demonstrated experience as trainer and facilitator

  • Coaching and effective communication skills

  • Strong facilitation skills for training and workshops

  • Professional knowledge of Business Improvement and Continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma/Lean)

  • Manage and lead multiple activities simultaneously

  • Effective stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage and deal with conflict, ambiguity, complexity

  • Motivate and develop others for high performance and excellence

  • Ability to influence without authority
