Devil's Thumb Ranch Maintenance & Repair Worker in Tabernash, Colorado

Devils Thumb Ranch Operating Co. Inc is seeking three (3) Maintenance & Repair Worker to work with them at 3530 County Rd 83, Tabernash, Colorado 80478. The position will be full-time and seasonal during the dates of April 1, 2024- December 31, 2024.

The role of the Maintenance & Repair Worker is to respond to any maintenance repair requests; assess the problem, and repair or refer the situation on to a supervisor for further action in a timely manner; keep all ranch property and equipment in good repair so guest satisfaction is achieved; provide basic repairs to water and sewage systems including replacement of water heater, plumbing fixtures, fittings and clearing of stoppages. Basic repairs of flooring, glass, screens, and drapes. Replacement of glass, tiles, screens, locks, and blinds. Maintenance of the Landscape irrigation system, clean all entrance locks, storage areas and lock up. Perform basic preventative maintenance on assigned equipment, clean and repair messy areas, loose wallpaper, torn carpet, missing ceiling tiles, leaks, etc.; Change light bulbs and ceiling tiles using ladders or personnel lift; Ensure that all required work orders and daily work logs are accurately completed, and receipts accurately documented. Provide basic repairs, service, and preventative maintenance inspections on all ranch equipment. Participate in standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage. Comply with company and OSHA safety regulations, policies and procedures and maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment. Assist and support the team with projects as needed. Develop a working knowledge of heating, cooling and water systems ranch wide. Troubleshoot problems with supervisor and resolve in a timely manner. Make proper use of all safety equipment provided. Provide exceptional guest service to our guests by providing quick response to issues and being flexible to complete any task needed for the good of the guest and ranch. Able to stand for entire shift, lift up to 75 pounds and able to tolerate exposure to extreme cold, snow, rain, and heat.

Employees will work Mon-Sun an average of 35 hours/wk. Must be able to work any 7-hour shift within 7 am to 11 pm any day of the week, days off rotate, shifts vary, weekends are required. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, must be flexible, be able to communicate in English and be a team player. The Job requires six (6) months of work experience. On-the-job training is provided. Devils Thumb Ranch Operating Co. Inc will provide workers with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge. Transportation is provided at no charge.

The wage is $22.71 per hour. All deductions will be made from paychecks that are required by law. No other deductions will be taken unless voluntarily agreed to by the employee. Overtime is available at a rate of $34.07 per hour. Wages will be paid bi-weekly on Friday, and the employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equa to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.

Housing is available at the rate of $150 per week but this is optional. The amount will be deducted from the employee's paycheck if agreed upon. This is not a condition of employment. In the alternative, the employer will assist the worker to find suitable housing that is available within walking distance of the worksite.
