Aerotek General Production Worker!

Job Description

Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling plastic products. You will apply your knowledge of the working characteristics of plastics and bonding techniques, using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment to manufacture foam products. Expect to operate various cutting and mixing equipment, manipulate small tools, spray materials onto parts, and perform cutting, deflashing, and fabrication of various foam parts. You must be able to read, interpret, and convey instructions both verbally and in written form.

Shift: 6:00AM-2:30PM, Monday to Friday, with initial training days from 7:30AM-2:30PM

Hard Skills

• Experience with plastics or aerospace manufacturing

• Ability to operate cutting equipment (band saws, table saws, routers, shapers)

• Experience with mixing equipment

• Proficiency in using small tools (micrometers, calipers, knives)

• Ability to read and interpret tape measures and other instructions

• Basic math skills and English comprehension

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours a day

• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs consistently

• Comfortable working around heavy machinery

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Tacoma, Washington.

Work Environment

You will work in a potentially dusty environment due to materials used in manufacturing. . Dress code includes closed-toed shoes, pants or shorts to the knees, and long sleeves. The pay ranges from $19-$22.50 per hour, depending on experience, with clear pay structures based on years of relevant experience. All candidates must be willing to join the union after 90 days.
