Robert Half Patient Care Coordinator in Tacoma, Washington

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Call Center Specialist in Tacoma, Washington. This role involves various administrative tasks related to patient services in a medical context. The chosen candidate will be part of a team handling a high volume of calls daily, dealing with appointment scheduling, follow-ups, cancellations, and other related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all inbound and outbound calls in a timely and efficient manner

• Schedule appointments, manage follow-ups, and handle cancellations

• Process incoming and outgoing referrals and records

• Register patients over the phone and maintain or update patient demographic information

• Handle insurance referrals and authorizations, including Medicare and Medicaid

• Perform administrative tasks such as faxing, copying, and scanning medical charts

• Process payments and communicate delivery of medical devices, such as hearing aids

• Use MS Office and other relevant software for scheduling or appointment management

• Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service at all times

• Ensure all records are accurately maintained and updated. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Call Center Specialist role or similar position

• Proven skills in Call Center Customer Service

• Experience in Patient Scheduling and arranging Follow-up Appointments

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Familiarity with Photocopying/Scanning documents

• Knowledge in using Electronic Medical Record systems

• Ability to Maintain Records accurately and efficiently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• High school diploma or educational equivalent is required

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
