Position Summary

As a key member of the Retail Asset Protection team, this role will join a dynamic organization committed to the acceleration of fresh ideas to address shrinkage across retail. Manage a substantial large Shrink Budget for Front Store and Pharmacy across 9,700 locations, as well as all Non-Retail locations.

The AVP, Retail Asset Protection reports directly to the VP, Retail Asset Protection of CVS Health and is a critical member of the leadership team.

  • Partner with and support 3 - SVPs and 9 - Division VPs in all things related to shrink and profitability.

  • Leading a total team of 240 Asset Protection colleagues

  • Focused on the continued evolution and consistent delivery of Asset Protection standards and driving differentiated shrink results

  • Develop strong relationships/partnerships with key stakeholders across the enterprise to establish credibility with various levels of management and key business partners

  • Effectively communicate prioritized strategies, progress towards expected financial outcomes, and provide meaningful insights regarding shrink results at the Executive level

  • Attract, develop, and retain talent at all levels

  • Produce high quality, consistent work within established timelines and budgets

​Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of asset and operations experience

  • 4+ years in a leadership role

  • Experienced proven and engaging leader with a critical strategic and operational mindset that has deep operational knowledge of retail store and non-retail functions that could adversely impact profitability across our entire Retail footprint – both in our most complex and challenging markets, as well as lower volume stores that have a different support structure

  • Have an acute awareness of the drivers of shrink, how those change based on different store types and support structures, and most importantly how to most effectively mitigate them, through extensive strategic and operational experience

  • Deep creative problem-solving skills to ensure the broader team is always focused on the highest priorities on how to improve shrink performance among Front Store, Pharmacy, and Non-Retail businesses

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to convey information in an accessible, concise, and clear manner

  • Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder client environment

  • Highly collaborative and communicative collaborator with experience working in fast-paced, multi-functional team environments

  • Experience managing change and in developing and maintaining excellent relations with executives, customers, operations, and staff at all levels

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision, with proven analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Approaches challenges with a sense of urgency, ability to work well under pressure and take direction

  • WAH (Work at Home) - Anywhere in the US

  • Travel - Up to 60%

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$157,800.00 - $363,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
