The Work You Will Do:

These position(s) are full time OPS Government Operations Consultant II (Grant Manager) positions in the Office of Long-Term Resiliency. This division specifically manages Disaster Recovery and Infrastructure/Mitigation funds in areas of the State affected by Hurricanes Hermine/Matthew, Irma, Michael, Sally and Ian. These position(s) are responsible for the management of federal grant funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the use and implementation of various subrecipient programs.

    Pay: $23.00 per hour

    Your Specific Responsibilities:

    Serves as main point of contact and provides timely communication to local governments (subrecipients) regarding awarded subrecipient agreement.

    • Perform preliminary document reviews, facilitate the tracking of agreements through the department review, approval, execution, and close-out processes.

    • Works with subrecipients, Grants Coordinator, and consulting firm, to draft, complete, or approve project scope of work.

    • Facilitate Teams meetings with local governments (subrecipients) to ensure all required documentation is completed and meets the established minimum compliance standards to keep the awarded project moving forward.

    • Maintains all files for each subrecipient project and provides support and guidance to local governments.

    • Notifies management of any challenges or obstacles.

    • Approves reimbursement requests through DEO’s financial system (SERA).

    • Works with Bureau team members to increase efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure consistency between programs.

    • Compiles and verifies information for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

    • Occasional traveling when required.

    • Other duties as required.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Ability to communicate and prepare documents, reports, and presentations in Microsoft Office programs.

    • Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and effectively manage multiple tasks.

    • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

    • Ability to provide excellent customer service.

    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

    • Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, customer service, or ethics.

    • Ability to demonstrate excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
