POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is in the Office of Financial Management, reporting to the Accounts Payable section. This is a full-time position that works closely with FDLE’s financial information and is responsible for ensuring that data is accurate, protected, and in compliance with accounting standards. This position requires excellent customer service skills as it will require interacting with internal and external customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Processing complex vendor payments in FLAIR and MyFloridaMarketplace;

  • Auditing and processing all FDLE member’s travel reimbursement requests;

  • Performing monthly reconciliation of the travel bank account;

  • Ensuring payments comply with Florida Statutes 215.422, FDLE policies, the Reference Guide for State Expenditures published by the Department of Financial Services and other rules/guidelines as applicable;

  • Maintaining a pending file and working with vendors, members and other program areas to resolve the issue; and

  • Serving as the Administrator to the following, Statewide Travel System (STMS) Administrator, Travel Revolving Fund, and the OFM Administrator for the Device Tracking System.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication;

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures;

  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices;

  • Knowledge of State of Florida financial systems;

  • Ability to work independently;

  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments;

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others;

  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities; and

  • Ability to use computer software skills, including intermediate skills in database/spreadsheet software, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word.

    BASE SALARY:

  • $47,500.00

    NOTES:

    Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
