PwC Accounting & Business Operations Manager in Tampa, Florida

A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

Our Financial Analysis and Reporting team is responsible for managing PwC’s financial risk through financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and tactical consulting. As part of the team, you’ll help with budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting, shared services and financing.

Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

The Accounting & Business Operations team is responsible for accounting, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, executing finance transactional processing and for delivering all transaction based services provided by Controller Operations including source to pay, contract to cash, payroll, time and expense, accounting operations, and tie-outs/quality checks.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in accounting, financial system, finance policies/procedures and process improvement solutions related to financial systems and strategic projects within Procure-to-Payables, Contract-to-Collections, Staff Reimbursement and Accounting Services.

Demonstrates extensive-level, abilities success with managing the identification and addressing of client needs by:

  • Working with business teams and key stakeholders, both management and operational, to design new processes and solve process-related problems;

  • Managing initiatives and firm-wide projects;

  • Acting as key contact for firm initiatives and serves as point of contact, disseminating information to Finance team as appropriate;

  • Working closely with leaders, to interpret results, identify trends, and develop/implement strategies to combat issues;

  • Acting as a liaison between the Finance teams and other Firm functional organizations;

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the CO business unit leadership to provide outstanding support, meet the expectations of client groups, and achieve common goals;

  • Applying knowledge and understanding of the Firm's standard suite of work solutions including proficiency in excel;

  • Analyzing business processes and workflows with the objective of finding out how they can be improved or automated;

  • Using and understanding Firm-wide technical tools to include Alteryx, Excel4 apps, Tableau, PowerBI and other analytical tools;

  • Demonstrating experience building and maintaining relationships with business partners, finance leaders, and stakeholders; and,

  • Providing analytical and technical assistance to staff.
