Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates extensive knowledge of, and/or proven record of success in, public accounting audit practices and procedures, US GAAP, US GAAS, and PCAOB standards, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including in the following areas:

  • Working in internal or external audit in a managerial role, emphasizing people management skills--training specialists and supervisors, and managing teams of 10-60 staff members;

  • Developing work plans and project approaches for risk assessments, developing project budgets, establishing that quality objectives are met, and building teams to support the day-to-day execution of developed work plans;

  • Leading collaborative teams, with a focus on knowledge-sharing and thought leadership, leading business process controls reviews; leading a wide range of projects; and demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative;

  • Utilizing communication and negotiation skills, effectively communicates ideas/issues to team members, including providing feedback via coaching notes, escalating issues, and notifying availability or being in need of assistance; and,

  • Understanding and utilizing technology to perform and manage work; Prior engagement team experience required.

Demonstrates extensive abilities, and/or proven record of success in, public accounting audit practices and procedures, US GAAP, US GAAS, and PCAOB standards, preferably for a global network of professional services firms; after training will be able to perform in the following areas:

  • Leading conversations with professionals globally with diverse experiences and subject matter expertise to actionable results;

  • Playing an integral role in PwC's core assurance services provided to clients;

  • Providing cutting edge advice, drawing on both financial accounting and corporate finance perspective;

  • Establishing high quality standards are met by providing timely and detailed checks of all deliverables;

  • Offering process improvements to attain optimal work flow and quality;

  • Understanding and adhering to quality standards and overseeing the SDC’s process workflow and workflow management tools; and,

  • Establishing operating guides and other working practice documents are utilized by all team members, and contributing to ongoing development and management of SDC practices.
