KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Studio - Product Owner to join our AI & Digital Innovation organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams and drive key decisions to define product vision and strategy to make informed roadmap decisions

  • Drive technical conversations with clients, communicate product visions, understand many different technologies, define and shape products/MVPs for the startups, conduct rapid prototyping and build lean scalable systems

  • Work iteratively on initial concepts, prototypes, and detailed designs informed by user research, marketplace and behavior trends, and your best ideas; define detailed product requirements, including scope, release and measure features to help ensure the customer and business goals are met, from concept to prototype to MVP

  • Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback, metrics and research into the Product Backlog for further definition by the business analyst and implementation by the development team

  • Dive deep with customers to understand opportunities and identify quantifiable business outcomes; translate customer's problem statement into product definition; collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, data scientists, data and full stack engineers, security architects, and strategists in creating product backlogs and assisting in story creation

  • Use excellent judgment on how to prioritize between focusing on existing versus new features, architectural improvements and operational excellence; develop, maintain, and report on project financials, timelines, and success metrics

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years recent relevant experience in product management, product development or architecture design with a focus on technology platform, data and machine learning services and APIs

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree from an accredited college/university preferred

  • Experience working with products rooted in generative AI, machine learning; working knowledge of deep learning, machine learning and statistics and/or working knowledge of SaaS AI platforms and prior experience in migrating on-prem AI/ML platform to public cloud will be a plus; experience with qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand customers; ability to explore and structure customers' insights to inform prioritization; experience working with customers, technical teams and management to collect requirements and describe software product features and technical designs

  • Must have a deep understanding of emerging technology in a wide area from generative AI to blockchain; strong capability to translate product needs to technology and understand technology; detail-oriented, unfazed by technical detail, committed to flawless execution; mastery of technical concepts and system-design

  • Able to participate in technical discussions and help make technical trade-offs; excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly software applications and customer-facing features; solid understanding of current technology trends, software development practices, and product management techniques

  • Previous Studio experience is a plus; must have a Design Thinking Mindset including Personas, Journey Maps, Story Maps, User story writing and Acceptance Criteria; advanced level understanding of Agile Methodologies, preferably certified Agile Product Owner, Agile and DevOps methodology: Backlog grooming and Sprint Planning
