Citigroup SVP, RWA Transformation & Simplification Lead (Hybrid) in Tampa, Florida

This position will manage a book of work associated with the Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) Reporting Processes within the Capital Controllers Group. Primary goal of the lead position is to operationally execute on process re-engineering, simplification, automation and other integration projects to enable timely, complete and accurate reporting for Capital Managment

The candidate will work closely with the program partners including Chief Data Office (CDO), Capital Planning, Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Global Regulatory Reporting (GRR) and Finance and Risk Senior Management.

The candidate will have a robust understanding of Regulatory Reporting and a solid track record of talent development and leadership covering both local and remote locations.

Key success factors will be this position’s ability to manage the team to deliver the FRSS RWA Reporting and Analytics goals, establish initiatives to improve the RWA process, controls and incorporate new reporting requirements, create trusted partner relationships with key stakeholders and effective expectation management through superior communication and metrics.

This position will report to the RWA Close & Operations Leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with team leads to ensure the integrity of the Risk Weighted Asset (RWA) results

  • Validate the integrity of the results by testing the RWA results to ensure they align to the Basel rules

  • Lead the groups Basel self-assessment process to ensure the Bank is complying to Basel rules

  • Identify initiatives to establish a more effective controls environment to support the integrity of the results produced to ensure the results can withstand the reviews done by internal and external audit

  • Demonstrate leadership and help establish group goals and operating model improvements

  • Develop and effectively leverage project plans and metrics to coordinate, execute and track key activities and deliverables and monitor and continuously improve processes and systems.

  • Work closely with key Finance, Citi Data Office, Risk and Technology partners to ensure alignment with strategic goals, robust status and expectation management including collaboration to remove roadblocks and optimize opportunities.

  • Deliver effective status communication to Senior Management.

  • Manage and deliver productivity goals including financial targets as applicable.

  • Talent development through leadership best practices and effective communication.

  • Represent RWA Reporting in communications and discussions with internal and external auditors, Independent Risk Review and Regulators where needed

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

  • Provide inputs for UAT testing and results validations for the RWA Reporting Change manage process

Qualifications – External

The ideal candidate will have 10+ year’s work experience in finance, accounting and / or risk. Experience managing large projects in complex operational environments. Solid team building and Leadership track record.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar discipline

  • 10+ years of related work experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required.

  • Ability to create concise presentations for Senior executives

  • Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand Regulatory Reporting processes, including system data flows.

  • Able to work with large volumes of data from different sources.

  • Must possess knowledge of Finance and US Regulatory workflows and reporting application systems and experience in the utilization of database technology.

  • Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours or on an Alternative Work Space (AWS) environment.

  • Ability to multi-task, be proactive and goal-oriented.

  • Previous Management experience, strong people leadership skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholder and execute on stakeholder management

  • Excellent issue management and negotiation skills

  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) and confidence to work with different levels of management.

Preferred but not required:

  • Masters in Accounting or Economics; Certified Public Accountant or International Equivalent; Certified Financial Analyst.

  • Previous experience with Lean Methodology / Six Sigma.

  • Previous exposure to Prudential Reports, CCAR, Basel or Country Risk.

$130,880.00 - $196,320.00
