Citigroup VP, Quality Assurance Optimization & Automation Sr. Analyst in Tampa, Florida

BCBS 239 is the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s regulation number 239 which covers principles for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting. Citi is currently expanding several controls to achieve heightened standards related to these principles. This includes a strong Quality Assurance (QA) Testing and Validation Function dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and control through Citi’s regulatory and management reporting testing.

The incumbent and ideal candidate will be part of the Finance Chief Operating Office (COO) under the Global Finance Quality Assurance Testing and Validation Organization. The candidate will be part of the Quality Assurance Optimization and Automation Team and will be responsible to lead and execute on critical strategic initiatives on the team book of work (BOW).

These initiatives include end-to-end (E2E) process reviews to streamline processes resulting in simplification, standardization, and gained efficiencies. Including implementation of automation solutions through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The role requires excellent stakeholder management skills, outstanding communication, facilitation, and PM skills. This job plays a key role in supporting the Quality Assurance Testing and Validation team including delivering on respective consent order commitments.

Core Skills & Duties:

  • Lead end-to-end strategic, cross functional process redesign workshops with business teams. Identify customer needs, create detailed process maps, identify pain points and opportunities to improve processes, and propose countermeasures or solutions to streamline processes and enhance controls.

  • Accountable for the proper execution of the Quality Assurance Testing and Validation technology implementation book of work, this includes identifying tooling opportunities and building the budget request with QA leadership team on a yearly basis.

  • Manage project timelines, expectations, risks, and execution. Ensure effective project closure including the validation of successfully meeting/exceeding project objectives.

  • Monitoring and securing the timely execution of all the projects by keeping close track of business-critical milestones delivery, proper planning, and prioritization.

  • Plans and coordinates UAT testing and PROD release activities for new and enhanced functionality to the QTS workflow tool in accordance with business requirements.

  • Coordinate the creation of the training plans/materials and adequate documentation aligned with the Quality Assurance leadership team.

  • Serve as liaison with Quality Assurance Process Leads, technology partners, and key stakeholders for operational execution, and establish a strong engagement model across.

  • Maintain constant dialog and timely formal communication with Quality Assurance SLT, Stakeholders, and Project Management to highlight issues with the overall technology plans, properly follow the escalation process through the right channels when needed and provide project status updates.

  • Oversee and control the Quality Assurance Testing and Validation integrations and production activities such as tooling issue management, entitlement handling, general maintenance, etc.

  • Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple concurrent priorities to completion without significant guidance.

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field, and equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of relevant technology and/or system implementation experience and proven record on transformational process redesigns.

  • Lean Six Sigma process improvement experience and knowledge of methodology.

  • Must have solid communication skills (oral and written) to clearly articulate findings, defend point of view amongst various groups, and present to senior management in a concise and logical manner.

  • Experience in preparing and delivering senior executive-level presentations with excellence, demonstrate a commitment to quality, and high attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated to take initiative and master new tasks quickly, and ability to manage multiple priorities and build/develop strong working relationships.

  • Must possess keen team building abilities, excellent organizational skills, strong ability to influence others, and drive the process improvement culture.

  • Proven critical problem-solving, data analysis, data mining, strong diplomatic, and interpersonal skills are required.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail.

  • Must be a proactive and goal-oriented strategic thinker, with ability to identify creative solutions, be flexible in a dynamic environment and pivot quickly to change in priorities.

  • Project Management knowledge and experience is required.

  • Global awareness, global business orientation and experience.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.

  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, PTS 2.0, Workflow, and emerging technologies.

  • Understanding of current finance principles, policies, and financial institution regulation and management reporting (Preferred).

  • Fluent in English.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours.

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
