PRODUCTION MACHINIST III -SPARKING (SEDM) OPERATOR

OVERVIEW

Responsible for the fabrication of Die and Mold tooling parts. Individuals must have high skills in SEDM and knowledge to be able to instruct low level operator.

To ensure smooth operations, the ability to implement 5S and improve QCD is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Can choose how best to set up tooling parts.

  • Can set up multiple tooling parts.

  • Can parallelization of tooling parts.

  • Can parallelization of electrodes.

  • Can utilize automatic tool changer (ATC).

  • Program creation ability is required.

  • NC data can be edited.

  • Understand G cord / M cord.

  • Understand machine specifications, part names and functions.

  • Understand the name and function of each part of the operation panel.

  • Can perform basic machine operations.

  • Understand the inspection items such as daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.

  • Can grasp consumables and manage inventory.

  • Know how to replace consumables.

  • Understand how to recover after an abnormal stop.

  • Understand the composition of machining conditions.

  • Understand machining property data.

  • Can choose the optimum Loran function.

  • Understand the characteristics of each work material.

  • Understand the properties and characteristics of electrode materials.

  • Basic operation of Core is possible.

  • 3D models can be used to design electrodes.

  • 3D modeling is possible.

  • Can design optimal electrodes for productivity and ease of machining.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vocational Course or Certificates are encouraged to apply

  • 5+ years’ experience and practitioner in the Sparking Machine SEDM

  • CAD Knowledge Must,Creo knowledge

  • Stamping and Molding tool knowledge.

  • Basic Computers, MS Office etc, SAP knowledge added advantage

  • Tool Room Process’s,

  • Tooling Knowledge,

  • Must be NCII Holder (Machining)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes. Team members may specialize in quality control or assurance, chemical manufacturing processes, metals, electrical connectors and components, process development, materials, and/or instrumentation. They may also handle calibration, displays, network control, mold development and audiovisual work or environmental health and safety. The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. At times, they may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather customer requirements, identify resources and assess project risks. They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users.
