FCA US LLC Infrastructure Engineer - Building Automation Systems in Tappan, New York

The Infrastructure Engineer - Building Automation Systems will be responsible for: Working with and developing Warehouse Management systems using C++ programming Participating in the daily work routine of Parts Warehouse Operations Integrating, Developing, sustaining solutions involving automation including ASRS (Autostore, Geek Plus, GreyOrange) Developing Dashboard analytics, including Qlikview, Power BI Leading implementation with Artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotic process automation Writing product or system development code Participating in, or leading design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies Reviewing code developed by other developers and provided feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency) Building platforms or pipelines to aggregate data from multiple sources Contributing to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback Triaging product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work training Minimum FIVE (5) years' experience
  • Experience with software programming (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, C, HTML), serialized data (e.g., JSON, XML)
  • Experience in systems design and architecting complex systems interactions, including data flows, common interfaces, and APIs Experience building platforms or pipelines to aggregate data from multiple sources
  • Experience in architecting and writing databases or analytics code (e.g., data pipelines) Experience with dashboard creation and data querying

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading application modernization projects or application architecture projects Software Engineering Degree
  • Experience with implementing and project managing large-scale software projects in corporate environments
  • Experience with capacity planning for technical infrastructure Experience developing web services and micro-services Experience with detailed network security and system design of load balancers, firewalls, and VPN in the deployment of virtual machines and containerized applications Excellent organizational, problem solving, and influencing skills Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Passion for engineering excellence and ample experience with unit testing and agile project development
