A Sr. Manufacturing/Production Operator job is available with our client in Taunton, MA. In this role you"ll perform project tasks/assignments of a more complex nature ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US Citizenship is required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform project tasks/assignments of a complex nature.
Perform fabrication functions in a production or pre-production environment.
Dress, terminate and test cables and components.
Demonstrates the skills and knowledge required to effective and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity.
Demonstrates effective rework techniques using acceptable practices including splicing, soldering and crimping per assembly drawing.
Assemble cable assemblies according to work instructions, diagrams, and schematics.
Perform soldering, crimping, and other assembly techniques to connect wires and components.
Conduct continuity on completed assemblies to verify pin out.
Maintain accurate records of assembly work as required through shop orders and ERP system.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Experience Soldering to J-STD 001 preferred.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Basic Knowledge of measuring equipment and math.
Previous experience in cable assembly or a related/equivalent field.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and schematics.
Proficiency in soldering and crimping techniques.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Proficient computer skills and the ability to use computer software applications to create cable sleeving etc.
Ability to work alone or as a part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to change direction.
