Digi-Key Electronics Senior Manager, Sales Enablement Training & Design in Thief River Falls, Minnesota

To learn more, visit our benefits and perks page. __ Position Overview:As the Senior Manager, Sales Enablement Training & Design, you will lead a team responsible for designing and implementing programs focusing on sales techniques, operational procedures, and product knowledge to enhance employee skills and align with organizational objectives. You will evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics, continuously refining programs to ensure relevance and impact. Collaborating with subject matter experts, they maintain current training content that meets evolving business needs, while also providing coaching, mentoring, and resources to support ongoing employee development and career advancement. This critical role involves developing and implementing comprehensive training programs and strategies to enhance operational efficiency and employee development across the Global Customer Engagement and Enablement organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, operations management, and leadership, with a passion for optimizing processes and fostering a culture of continuous learning. This role is based in Thief River Falls or Bloomington, Minnesota, and will require a minimum of three days per week in the office and be available for projects in the office as needed. Travel required, at times, domestically and internationally. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of global training programs tailored to operational needs and regional/organizational goals. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and content, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging and effective training materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, and job aids. Analyze training processes and tools to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains Develop a program for content/knowledge management to enable AI and on-demand, self-serve content Develop training initiatives aimed at optimizing workflow, reducing costs, and increasing productivity. Implement metrics and evaluation methods to measure the impact of training on operationalperformance. Manage a robust global training team and instructional designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment focused on innovation and continuousimprovement. Present training strategies and outcomes to senior management and key stakeholders, advocatingfor resources and support as needed. Ensure training programs comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conduct regular reviews and audits of training content to maintain accuracy, relevance, andeffectiveness. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Typically,6+ years' experience in training, education or a related field; including 2 years demonstrated leadership capabilities and proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees through complex projects in a fast-paced environment Proven track record of driving high growth for learning and training programs, incorporates instruction l design process the needs analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of training Highly focused on results and providing a structured, systematic approach to delivering learning solutions Experience managing both internal employees and vendors/partners (SOW management, contracts, budgeting, etc.) Solid knowledge of pedagogical approaches and curriculum development, particularly for online delivery Excellent written, verbal and facilitation & presentation skills with experience in multi-level audiences Self-motivated individual who takes ownership of problem-solving and works proactively to improve processes Project management expertise, with experience rolling out training plans, including all training logistics and budgets Ability to handle multiple priorities, work well under pressure while meeting deadlines, mitigate failure, make decisions, and drive change Adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, analytical thinking/problem solving, proactivity, collaboration, technological savvy, and operating with/through a team Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related learning program software Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field or equivalent, relevant work experience(preferred) Experience in Electrical Component Distribution industry (preferred) Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential (preferred) Association for Talent Development (ATD) certification (preferred) Tools/Systems/Software Familiar with learning technologies and solutions (e.g. CRM, CSM, CMS, and LMS tools) Physical Requirements: Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body .
