Maintenance Electrician at $41 an hour Needed

Job Description

We are currently seeking off-shift experienced industrial electricians with 3-phase 480V and industrial troubleshooting experience. The successful candidates will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing and maintaining electrical equipment in an 850,000 sq. ft automotive manufacturing environment. The equipment includes PLCs, VFDs, facilities electrical, 3 phase motors, and other secondary equipment. The job will also entail maintaining electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state, and federal levels, performing rigging activities, and other safety-related functions.

Hard Skills

• Ability to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus and fixtures

• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC’s

• Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes

• Competent with programming VFD’s

• Demonstrated ability to safely utilize a forklift and manlift

• Proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power)

Work Environment

This role is placed in a very fast-paced and deadline-sensitive environment. All candidates MUST be open to work all 3 shifts, primarily these will be for 2nd/3rd shift. It is a Union environment and candidates will be in the union after 60 days of hire. Initial training will be on the first shift for 2 weeks to 2 months, after which candidates will more than likely be placed on 2nd or 3rd shift due to seniority. Safety gear such as steel toes, hard hat, safety glasses, and ear plugs are required.
