Currently, our Business Development & Energy Innovation team is hiring for an Isotopes Expansion Manager. This is a strategic position that will foster the growth of Bruce Power’s Isotope program in support of our mission to safely provide clean, affordable, reliable power and life-saving medical isotopes, while strengthening our communities and protecting the environment to secure tomorrow. This is a high visibility role within the company as well as externally.
This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.
What will you be responsible for?
Adopt and promote the Bruce Power values, demonstrating leadership in behaviours that support these values
Foster teamwork and a stimulating work environment
Maintain the confidentiality of the commercially sensitive information
Develop, monitor, and report on the implementation of both the division's internal and the partner's Business Development business plans to support the company's and partner's goals
Ensure value for money and achievement of the division's business plan
Specific Responsibilities:
Work cross functionally across Bruce Power, isotope partners and regulators for growing the isotopes business at Bruce Power.
Author/edit program documentation and ensures it is effectively implemented
Liaise with isotope partners on demand planning and commercial negotiations
Work with Operations on resource planning for demand
Provide formal reporting updates to senior leadership on isotope production
Handle/manage confidential information
Make strategic decisions to inform the three-to-five-year isotopes business based on external market conditions
Support Bruce Power’s Partnership on the Isotopes Production System with the Saugeen Ojibway Nation (SON), comprised of the Indigenous communities of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation and the Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation
Participate in panels/conferences in an effort to tell Bruce Power’s Isotopes story
Knowledge and Skills
Must have a base knowledge of radioisotope applications and industry knowledge
Strong business acumen to recommend and lead solid courses of action based on available information and/or by tapping into the knowledge held by experts in and out of the company
Strong communication skills
Fundamental knowledge of radioisotope irradiation and the pharmaceutical industry as whole
Education and Experience
Completion of a four (4) year University Degree in a related field, such as Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Engineering and/or Business
Minimum of 8 years up to an including 10 years is considered necessary to gain this experience
Experience supporting commercial partnerships and negotiations for value creation
Experience in the following fields:
Biology, Chemistry and/or Medicine
Pharmaceuticals
Nuclear
