As an Analytics BI Lead in the AMXL team, you will be leading a team of business analysts to develop analytic solutions to drive deep dives, provide actionable insights and measure business impact. You will partner with global and internal stakeholders to ensure the team is prioritizing the right goals and opportunities to develop the best analytics support and infrastructure for AMXL JP.

Key job responsibilities

  • Fully own and develop the Analytics BI function

  • Design and build analytics infrastructure and strategy to support the growth of AMXL JP

  • Influence development roadmaps to build scalability and automation into reporting and analysis

  • Own the effective communication of metrics and analysis

  • Independently define analytical approach and metrics strategy

  • Work with data owners, production systems, or other authoritative sources to guarantee data fidelity

  • Partner with data engineering teams to influence the direction of data visualization platforms

  • Set long-term vision and direction for team projects

  • Effectively manage project resources; create solutions to unexpected obstacles and reallocate resources as necessary

  • Hire the best, develop and grow the team effectively.

A day in the life

You attend daily business reviews and understand what's happening to key network metrics and reporting needs. You spend time with strategy & ops teams to understand the key analytics related challenges and collaborate with relevant global and domestic stakeholders to build a sustainable analytics plan for AMXL JP.

You challenge the status quo and drive data based decision making within your team. You take business trips within and outside Japan as required to build your skills and network or test your plans and assumptions. Additionally, you are always ready to jump in and take charge when problems and challenges emerge.

AMXL JP team is a single threaded organization that owns Amazon's end-to-end Heavy & Bulky (H&B) logistics network with our willing and equally customer obsessed partners, offering shipping, service & support for consumers and companies in a safe, reliable, seamless, standardized, and sustainable way that surprises and delights our customers. Our delivery partners are experienced in H&B deliveries, providing special handling services such as Room of Choice Delivery, Installation/Assembly and Recycling/Haul-Away.

Our team is made up of a diverse group of individuals across operations, supply chain, tech, finance, planning, customer experience, business intelligence and program management that work closely and collaboratively across Amazon to constantly improve and scale our operations, always insisting on the highest standards and obsessing over delivering bigger smiles for our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Business level of English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Master's degree

  • Experience managing teams

  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques

  • Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
