Business Development Manager

About our Team

You will join a team of proactive and project-driven Business Development and Support Managers. The focus is on customers, teamwork and results.

About the Role

With the current resources and growing agreements, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to scale up the agreements. And implement, maintain agreements and relationship with agreement partners efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Gathering requirements: Understanding the requirements collaborating with potential agreement partners and sales. Analyzing Needs: Do we support this requirement, resources or does this need development?

• Liaising with agreement partners to gather system requirements for the Product team

• Defining requirements for retrospective campaign in collaboration with Sales/agreement partner and agreeing on the timelines

• Managing Relationships; monthly meetings to define success of the agreement. Gathering product requirements.

• Reporting: Define requirements for agreement partner reporting with Sales and collaborating with journal reporting, delivering reports to Agreement partners

• Managing relationships with agreement partners and empowering sales.

• Educating agreement partners and publishers: Demo of the author, institutional journeys and answering questions.

• Being Subject Matter Expert for Publishing Options end-to-end journey

Requirements

• Have focus on results, take initiative, look for ways to improve (own) work process and be supportive

• Able to deliver within own role to make an important contribution to the team

• Able to ask effective questions and collect facts from multiple sources in order to solve problems

• Maintain a positive outlook in the face of a changing environment and bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm

• Have business level communication (verbal and written) in English and full Japanese Fluency.
