This role will sit within the P&B team and will be responsible for active contribution to grow the business and profitability of Japan P&B Division through marketing tactics & strategies for categories of responsibility.

Your Key Responsibilities

STRATEGIC

  • Active contribution to grow the business and profitability of Japan P&B Division through marketing strategies for categories of responsibility.

  • Identify new market / products opportunities and translate them into solutions for customers.

  • Develop and manage local marketing and category strategies, including specific proactive topics.

  • Be the marketing expert for country-specific discussions with customers, and internally, be the first point of contact for specific questions on categories of responsibilities and market & consumer trends in Japan.

  • Ensure marketing alignment and communication with regional and global marketing, category, consumer insights and commercial teams.

    OPERATIONAL

  • Lead the local implementation of regional & global marketing activities in line with category, commercial strategies, and objectives.

  • Ensure updates and upgrades of local marketing tools and ensure they are aligned within the global marketing tools.

  • Build effective partnerships with other functions (sales, development, perfumers, technical)

  • Engage and inspire the local and regional marketing teams and the larger category and sales communities by championing the sharing of key market insights & social media trends

  • Foster the diligent usage of knowledge management standard processes and tools (local/regional digital platforms) within the region.

  • Ensure proprietary Marketing tools are marketed and branded effectively within the region.

  • Participate in regional marketing and segment meetings by representing your country.

    You bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University Degree/Business/Marketing (or equivalent)

  • At least 8 years’ experience as marketing or innovation manager in Japan or international – marketing experience in a Fragrance House or in FMCG in Home or Beauty products is a plus

  • Japanese fluent & English advanced

  • Expertise in analysing consumer data, spotting market trends and delivering relevant solutions

  • Brand building & conception experience

  • Passion for trends and innovation

  • Knowledge and/or high interest in Fragrance

  • Excellent presentation skills and story-telling capability

  • Good written communication skills
