Amazon Senior Product Manager, Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) in Tokyo, Japan

Description

Amazon Easy Ship (ES) is a shipping and fulfillment solution offered by Amazon to help third-party Sellers on the Amazon Marketplace streamline their order delivery process. With Easy Ship, Amazon handles end-to-end logistics - from picking up products directly from the Seller's warehouse to delivering packages swiftly to the Customer. This allows Sellers to provide faster deliveries, offer Customers Amazon customer service, and receive competitive shipping rates, all while focusing on their core business.

As the Senior Product Manager for Easy Ship (ES) leading Expansion, you will be responsible for developing the ES strategy to expand the newly launched program and lead expansion initiatives such as expanding the areas where the service operates, expanding the Selection that ES fulfills, and expanding the number of Sellers and Customers that ES serves.

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with fulfillment challenges faced by third-party Amazon sellers. Successful candidates relentlessly focus on the Customer, build trust and collaborate with cross-functional global teams and stakeholders, successfully navigate through ambiguity, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and is comfortable handling multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritizing properly. Also required are strong leadership and communication skills, willingness to work autonomously, project management experience, and a proven ability to influence local and global teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify and execute innovative strategies to enable broader Seller and Selection participation into Easy Ship

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), as well as with Worldwide Easy Ship (WWES) tech teams.

  • Analyze Customer and Seller feedback, operational data, and industry trends to inform program enhancements and drive continuous improvements to Easy Ship.

  • Measure and report on the program's key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth.

  • Develop comprehensive launch and rollout plans to ensure a seamless expansion of the Easy Ship program.

  • Write insightful, actionable, and data/customer centric business review and strategic documents to influence senior leaders

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Ability to identify and provide solutions for complex business opportunities and problems

  • Fluency in Japanese and English

  • Ability to write compelling English business documents and to verbally communicate with senior executives

  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders globally and deliver cross functional projects

  • Quantitative analytical skills, and using data and metrics to drive improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • An MBA is preferred.

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Ability to build financial models
