ProMedica Health System Behavior Analyst - Autism Center - Full Time - Days in Toledo, Ohio

We are a 151-bed facility that caters to the hospitalization needs of children and adolescents. In fact, we are the region's only hospital exclusively for children accredited by the Joint Commission. We offer a 60-bed newborn intensive care unit that has individual patient rooms designed to mimic the sheltered environment of a mother's womb. We also care for pediatric cancer patients in our state-of-the-art - yet fun and whimsical - Debbie Brass Children's Cancer Center. In addition, for 15 consecutive years, residents of Greater Toledo have named us the Consumer Choice Award winner in our market. In fact, we’re the only hospital in northwest Ohio to receive this honor.

The ProMedica Finnegan Family Autism Center houses the Autism Early Learning Program (AELP) which offers early intensive behavioral intervention services for children diagnosed with Autism from the age of diagnosis through 6 years old. The program operates year-around with options for full day and partial day services with 1:1 ratios and options for small group as appropriate. Intervention utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and focuses on addressing skills in the areas of communication/language, play, socialization, behavior, and adaptive skills.

Position Summary:

The Behavior Analyst is responsible for the assessment, treatment plan and program development, and oversight/supervision of assigned caseload of children with autism at the Finnegan Family Autism Center. They are dedicated to providing the highest quality of safe care with compassion in partnership with each individual child, their team and their family. Primary duties include but are not limited to:

Design and oversee individual treatment plans Oversee flow of programming and data collection in assigned treatment setting Monitor on-going data, and make adjustments as necessary to the ABA programs and behavior intervention plans Develop and update caseload reports and progress summaries Develop evidenced based training based on ongoing assessment Provide hands-on training and supervision to registered behavior technicians including modeling and feedback Provide appropriate trainings and communications with families and clients Administer assessments including program development, functional behavior assessment, and program analysis Present on assigned topics at department meetings and in-services Exceptional interpersonal skills working with children, families, and other professionals Maintains and protects patient’s rights

Master’s degree in behavior analysis, education, psychology or related field required Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills Must be able to frequently move, lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs., 20% of the time Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer
