ProMedica Health System Clinical Applications Analyst II - ITS Provider OpEx - Full Time - Remote in Toledo, Ohio

Analyst II - Contributes to and participates in the selection/design, implementation, maintenance and support of their assigned ambulatory software applications using information technology, equipment, and processes used by PHS employees and customers. Serves as mentor for less experienced IT staff, providing assistance and guidance when required.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (List the essential functions and responsibilities of the job. Provide concise descriptions of each accountability and the estimated percentage of time spent on each.   1. Participates in evaluating, recommending and selecting clinical software applications. Partners with vendors, and internal and external customers to determine information technology needs that are a cost effective solution to support customer software application requirements.
  2. Configures, monitors, upgrades and installs assigned clinical software applications using information technology.
  3. Ensures adequate testing, quality assurance and documentation of changes per IT policies and procedures, affecting clinical or related applications.
  4. Transfers knowledge and/or trains IT employees in clinical related software applications and supporting IT processes.
  5. Continually analyzes and actively recommends improvements to existing clinical application software, equipment, and related processes, to maximize performance, capacity and availability.
  6. Transfers knowledge, provides technical and related operational support and expertise to customers using clinical applications. Acts as a customer advocate by communicating effectively and promoting customer satisfaction.
  7. Monitors, responds to, and resolves clinical application customer support calls, incidents and problems. Provides support via on-site and off hour availability on 7/24 hour basis as defined by the needs of the customer and/or technology.
  8. Coordinates the efforts and efficient operations of all components for any assigned task or project within their respective IT team.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Remote with occasional in person meetings at downtown, Toledo location.

II – Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology, nursing or related field. Analysts supporting Epic will obtain and maintain Epic certification in corresponding application. *

Skills: II– Progressive knowledge of assigned clinical software applications and healthcare operations.*

  1. On call coverage on rotational basis.
  2. Some travel required, both locally and overnight.
  3. Attends regular customer and team department meetings as scheduled.

Years of Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience. Healthcare experience desirable but not required. Certification: Analysts supporting Epic will become certified within 4 months and maintain Epic certification in corresponding application(s).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree or 3 years as a current Licensed Clinical Professional Skills: IT background, Effective oral,written communication and follow-up skills. Strong interpersonal relationship skills. Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Self motivated, detail-oriented, problem solver

WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Demands: Must be able to occasionally move, lift and/or carry medium weight objects and materials. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquires; requires effective self-motivation and interpersonal skills. Must be able to input and retrieve information from a computer.

Salary Range: $37,440-$112,632
