What You’ll Be Doing

CIBC’s Agile COE & Delivery Practice team is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting CIBC’s Technology and Business Delivery Processes across traditional and agile delivery approaches. As a Senior Consultant, you will provide support for methodology improvement initiatives, community of practice stewardship, and stakeholder management with delivery groups within Technology. You will be accountable, primarily, for planning and execution of communication and content management related activities and upgrading our deliverable using new technologies.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Technical and Process Content Development and Improvement – Provide senior-level expertise and practical capability in the design, organization, creation, and ongoing management of online content for EDF, the SDLC methodologies, and other supporting materials to support the technology delivery community at CIBC.

  • Content Platform Stewardship – Design and deliver an appropriate structure and accompanying use guidelines for the content platform (assumed to be SharePoint Online), enabling consistent content types, simplified content management, standardization of metadata and search criteria, form-based parameter specification, and publication process automation. Consider ways in which other elements of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (e.g, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents) could be leveraged to optimize the maintenance of the platform and to improve the user experience.

  • Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement – Perform regular analysis and reporting of site and page utilization, augmented by user input (via surveys, focus-groups, journey mapping, etc.) to assess effectiveness of site and content design and to drive priority of improvements and adjustments or to identify key issues and investigate feasibility of potential solutions. Conduct industry and business research, assessment, and insight development, as required, to support these activities.

  • Consulting – Provide advice, consultative expertise, and procedural collateral to other members of the team regarding writing style, structure of content, and platform administration. Provide support to the team through proofreading, rewriting, or editing of draft content. Engage with delivery partners, as required, to facilitate translation, publication, promotion/marketing, and alignment of messaging.

  • Relationship Building – Work across multiple communication areas at CIBC, seeking valuable sharing of practice and insight, process innovation and improvement opportunities, and alternative channels of customer engagement and input.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in: the design, creation, refactoring, and maintenance of online content platforms, including a deep understanding of Microsoft SharePoint. You have the ability to understand complex processes/ideas and deal with ambiguity to solve for unique organizational needs. You possess innovative skills sufficient to resolve problems or identify innovative alternatives or opportunities to meet both client and business needs. You have the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization in order to share and exchange information required to complete assigned work. You must possess the ability to write informative, effective, well-structured, reference-based online content to a primarily technical audience. It’s an asset if you have the experience working within a technology company or technology line of business, especially involving a software delivery methodology, software architecture, or software engineering focus, in the context of this experience.
