Pay Rate: $25.00-$32.00 (depending on experience) | Toronto, ON

My client in the printing industry is seeking a die cutter operator to join their amazing team!

Job Description

The company has installed a new machine and is looking to add an operator to the team!

• Operate, set up, and maintain die cutting machines necessary for producing products in accordance with customer specifications.

• Install the appropriate tools, blades, and folding devices to achieve the necessary folding and pre-breaking for the Product.

• Determine the proper positioning of the glue system(s) to ensure the correct final setup and functionality.

• Adjust controls to regulate the placement and timing of electronic glue systems.

• Continuously monitor the quality of production, while also ensuring that packers are performing their tasks as required.

• Consistently meet production schedule plan and attainment goals.

• Read work orders and production schedules to ensure compliance with customer specifications.

• Start and shut down machines, monitoring operations and restocking materials as needed.

• Always maintain cleanliness of equipment and the assigned production area.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures while working.

• Maintain constant visual oversight of parts produced and conduct visual quality control audits.

• Identify and report product malfunctions to the appropriate individuals.

• Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.

• Aim for targeted reduction in waste across all forms (time, materials, labor).

• Effectively communicate with supervisors, managers, and other colleagues.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of die cutter experience

  • Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs

  • Comfortable with repetitive work

Work Environment

  • clean environment,

  • little loud when all machines running,

  • well lit

  • Parking is available on site
