What You'll Do

CT REIT’s ESG team drives CT REIT’s developing ESG strategy, measures and monitors our progress against our goals, and is responsible for CT REIT’s public ESG reporting. Reporting in to CT REIT’s Associate-Vice President, ESG, Manager, ESG Strategy & Reporting, and Senior Analyst, Sustainability, primary accountabilities within this role will include:

  • Contributing to foundational work that will help CT REIT refine our carbon footprint to accelerate our asset decarbonization planning

  • Supporting CT REIT in reporting information about our assets and progress to our regulators, investors, and the public.

  • Supporting the ESG team with annual building performance reporting to municipal and provincial regulators.

  • Working with CT REIT’s tenants, utilities, and regulators to obtain and process energy and water consumption data for CT REIT’s buildings.

  • Working with multiple CT REIT departments, including Operations, Development, and Legal, to refine the REIT’s understanding of its carbon footprint

  • reviewing and compiling information about CT REIT’s assets at a site-level and allocating emissions in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol - applying this standard to commercial properties and collaborating across CT REIT teams.

    What You Bring

  • You're working towards a post-secondary education, with a focus within engineering, environmental sciences, architecture, environmental sustainability or related discipline

  • Knowledge of sustainable building and building decarbonization strategies

  • Familiarity with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and similar standards

  • Data management and analysis skills (i.e. Excel)

  • Self-motivated with ability to work effectively in a team

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain productive team relationships
