Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Risk Analyst to join a top bank in downtown Toronto for an initial 6-month contract that will likely result in a permanent position. This role is a mandatory 2-days a week in office. The Analyst will be joining the Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) Portfolio Analytics team. This team is responsible for completing accurate risk measurements and maintains operational process and procedures. They support the overall Risk management function for CCR Capital, execution of accurate data, reconciliations, analysis and reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, including SA-CCR. The responsibilities of this role can be broken into two categories: business analysis tasks and business as usual day-to-day tasks. On the BA side, the individual will be responsible for creating and analyzing regulatory capital market reports. The business as usual day-to-day tasks include analyzing products, calculations, and portfolios for capital market products, such as derivatives. The successful candidate for this role will have a strong computer science and/or coding background with an interest to move into the business industry. Financial product knowledge is a essential for this role, such as capital markets knowledge, counterparty credit risk (CCR) knowledge, derivatives, SA-CCR, or any other related areas. Python, SQL, and Excel are used daily in this role so proficiency with these tools is a must. This Analyst supports the end to end process that facilitates risk analytics and reporting, so this individual needs to be self-sufficient, organized, and needs a problem-solver mentality. There are expectations for tasks to be delivered in a timely and accurate manner to support the maintenance of operational procedures and processes.

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Risk Analyst or Business Analyst in a related role/field (i.e., performing risk calculations and regulatory reports analysis)

• Proficiency with Python, Excel, and SQL (preferably 2+ years of experience)

• Financial product knowledge (CCR capital markets is strongly preferred but other areas that are consider include counterparty credit risk, capital markets, derivatives, market risk, experience with SA-CCR, experience with PFE)

• Experience and knowledge in computer science, coding, and data analysis (preferably 1+ year)

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in a related field, such a quantitative, mathematics, computer science, or finance) - CFM (Certified Risk Managers)/FRM (Financial Risk Manager) Designation is a plus null
