Purpose

Responsible for supporting the business performance, forecasting and planning disciplines to monitor and support the execution of International Banking’s Retail strategy. This role involves analyzing business trends and drivers, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and growth. The incumbent will work closely with Segment, Product, Channel and Country Leaders as well as support functions to align business objectives and financial goals.

What You’ll Do:

Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Generates executive insights to showcase the performance and drivers of key performance indicators of the International Banking Retail business line.

Designs and produces dynamic performance measurement frameworks and tools to track execution of International Banking strategy.

Leads annual planning process partnering with Segment, Product, Channel and Country Leaders and ensuring alignment to International Banking Retail long term strategy.

Develops forecasts to better understand the impact of business strategies/decisions.

Oversees operating budget planning and day-to-day management for International Banking Retail central team in adherence with the Bank’s expense policies.

Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Banks risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Banks risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.

Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree required and master’s degree preferred in Analytics/Business/Finance/Economics.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial sector.

Demonstrated strategic influencing ability, and a high degree of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Strong financial and business acumen with a result-oriented and problem-solving mindset.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Experience in performance management, financial planning and forecasting is an asset.

Experience in applying agile principles and practices.

Work Arrangement:

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
