Overview

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Director of ESG Strategy, the Manager of Responsible Sourcing will play a meaningful role in developing and implementing risk-based strategies to improve the sustainability performance of Herbalife’s global supply chain. This individual will work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to map compliance mandates, raise awareness of responsible sourcing practices, conduct due diligence and support long-term planning efforts. The Responsible Sourcing Manager should have a command of data, as this role will be instrumental to capturing, analyzing, auditing and externalizing large amounts of supplier data related to sustainability. This person should be comfortable navigating different functional areas and topics, such as procurement, risk management, environmental sustainability and social impact.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

• Work with internal partners across Herbalife’s ESG, Legal and Strategic Sourcing teams to identify global compliance requirements governing supply chain sustainability.

• Coordinate internal trainings, work plans and other activities to stay ahead of global regulations while also advancing Herbalife’s cost-cutting, innovation and sustainability objectives.

• Advise leadership and category managers on material topics impacting Herbalife’s key commodities and supplier base, including climate, deforestation, diversity and human rights.

• Support teams in the establishment of responsible sourcing targets, supplier improvement plans, and performance monitoring.

• Collaborate with Herbalife’s ESG & Controllership team members to manage responsible sourcing data, tracking systems and external reporting activities.

• Lead the development, implementation and continuous evolution of Herbalife’s supply chain due diligence strategy, policies, processes and documentation.

• Strengthen alignment with Herbalife’s Enterprise Risk Management team on responsible sourcing risk assessments, management plans and monitoring & reporting activities.

• Engage with suppliers, external consultants and technology providers as needed to ensure we drive progress against our sustainability commitments and programmatic activities.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• 5-7 years of purchasing, sourcing, risk management, and/or sustainability experience within a global publicly traded company.

• Proven history with crafting supplier due diligence programs, performing supplier assessments and/or risk management across an enterprise.

• Knowledge of global regulations, standards and best practices related to climate, deforestation, human rights and ethical sourcing.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment leading multiple projects concurrently

• Strong analytical, written, communication and program management skills.

• Comfort managing functional and geographic teams around strategic priorities, planning and performance optimization.

Education

• Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Sustainability
