Torrance State Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Dietitian! You will play a vital part in supporting individuals to meet their nutritional needs. We are seeking a motivated individual with stellar organization and time management skills and a strong desire to learn and progress as a dietitian. In this role, you can develop plans, create schedules, educate families, and assess patient nutritional care programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clinical Dietitian at a state mental hospital, you are pivotal in delivering personalized nutritional care to patients. Your responsibilities include conducting assessments, counseling, and collaborating with the treatment team to ensure optimal nutritional support. You will also contribute to the facility's quality improvement program by gathering vital data for the nutritional audit. Your commitment and expertise are needed to advance overall wellness and recovery by creating tailored diets, compiling recipes, and educating patients. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering educational materials to staff, the community, and families as well as maintaining, recording, compiling, developing, and evaluating educational materials for current nutrition education. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel as needed. Free parking!

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements: Certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
