Actalent Physical Substation Engineer in Trenton, New Jersey

Job Title: Physical Substation EngineerJob Description

As a Physical Substation Engineer, you will be tasked with creating and managing comprehensive design deliverables such as Substation General Arrangement, Substation Electrical Equipment plans, Section Views (Elevations), Detailed Bill of Material, Lightning Stroke Shielding Plan, Grounding Plan, Conduit, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details, Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plan, and various Control Building Equipment plans. You will also interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables and perform walkdowns at client facilities.

Hard Skills

  • 5+ years of physical substation design

  • Proficient in creating Section Views (Elevations)

  • Experienced in drafting detailed Bill of Materials

  • Ability to prepare and review complex project packages

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in NA, New Jersey and some days remote.

Work Environment

You will join a team of 50 professionals in a Hamilton, NJ office setting that features both cubicles and office spaces. Our environment fosters collaboration but also supports independent work for those with strong backgrounds and skill sets. A company laptop will be provided to support your work.
